AOS believes that our people are our greatest asset! We are a family-oriented and dog-friendly company which now includes 3rd generation employees testifying to a stable and positive work environment. We have a growth culture, meaning we look for opportunities to provide training, education, and certification to our employees. Our team’s willingness to improve, learn, and develop has been the key to our growth. Built on safety, we believe that teamwork is crucial, and we can learn from each other. Our passion for success, coupled with our core values, drives our team to execute projects the right way, on time, and on-budget.
Our team loves to “wow” our customers with the way we handle every aspect of a project, from how we approach it, to the manner of execution, through the final results delivered. We can boast decades of expertise and are structured to pass along knowledge in order to lift up our fellow employees. Our team seeks to build lasting relationships that are mutually beneficial and to operate in ways that stand out both to the owner and the community.
And whether it’s a Safety Milestone Breakfast or a Christmas Party at the Zoo, we love to celebrate our successes together!
At AOS, we are a team that builds on safety. With relentless focus, our goal is to send everyone home better than when they arrived!
AOS offers a lot of flexibility. The expectation is that you will be “self-managing” to get your work done, which means we hire people who are “self-driven.” Makes for a great team!

AOS was established in July of 1988 under the name of Advanced Outdoor Services when it was purchased by Dianne Rushing. In May of 1999, Dianne’s sister, Jane, agreed to work with her for one year only. However, Jane enjoyed learning the business so much from her “hero,” Dianne, that she became co-owner and never left AOS saying, “It’s one of the best decisions I have ever made.”
On September 24, 2002, the company incorporated and the name was changed to AOS Specialty Contractors, Inc. as the business evolved to provide more specialized services. After 30+ years, AOS has become a well respected contractor throughout the state and beyond.
