The pieces – including decorative bricks – are coming together in The Alley, with completion of the renovation project’s first phase about three weeks away.

Pearce Atkins, Aiken’s assistant city engineer, pointed out progress during a site visit Wednesday afternoon, noting that the northbound lanes of Laurens Street are now back to business as usual.
